Science is a tool. It can be used to improve lives or to make them worse, but the choice is ultimately on the user. Science is learning through observations and experiments; there is no condition pertaining to morality.

Science pretty much is a tool and it cannot be judged. However, the people who use it, can be judged. It's like if someone wanted to experiment on dogs by taking the florescent gene of a jelly fish and giving it to the dog, do you blame science, or the person who issued the experiment? Exactly, the person who did the experiment because they are the ones who make the decision on what to do and what not to do. Stem cell research, is just research on stem cells but the scientists are the ones using embryos.
