I typically get 7-8 hours of sleep a day, split up into 2-3 chunks. Sodium got used to me sleeping a more "normal" cycle in the first semester of this school year because I was forced into it by my schedule. My body doesn't care when I sleep, as long as I get it.

I think I might have fallen asleep in class once, in 9th grade, Algebra. It was dark, hot, and the teacher was projecting something mathy on the projector... I think I nodded off for ~5 minutes.

Other than that, I can never fall asleep unless I intend to, and when I intend to it takes a certain amount of dedicated effort. There have only been a few times in memory when I could just lie down and fall asleep within ten minutes... it is more typically half an hour to an hour before I am out.

I think I need more sleep. I fell asleep last night without trying, and woke up this morning and realized that I still had my glasses on and was still wearing my shoes and socks.

To get rid of your tiredness from not having enough sleep, you have to sleep more. I know what you're all thinking. It sounds crazy, but it's true. Drinking Coke or coffee can help temporarily, but I wouldn't suggest getting into the habit of it.
To get rid of your tiredness from oversleeping, I find it's best just to get out in the Sun. I dunno if there's a reason behind it, but it always works for me. At first, after about 2-5 minutes, you'll find that you start feeling more awake, and then after a while, about 5-10 minutes more, you'll feel like getting active. However I live in Australia, so I dunno, you might need to spent a bit longer if the Sun isn't as strong where you guys are.
    Hope that helped.

I usually sleep for that long and sometimes I can even sleep for 16 hours straight.

I sleep way too much and take it from me you shouldn't sleep that long unless you really really need it.

@Darkone Wha? does that mean you always rely on caffeine? I know some people who have gotten used to caffeine and caffeine has no affect on them anymore o.o

I like the smell of coffee, but i hate the taste. And, Rex, you CAN get addicted to caffine. Caffine, like cocaine and ecstacy, is a drug. Therefore, people can get addicted to it and/or develop a higher tolerance. If a person gets addicted, that's always bad, because then they're reliant and hooked and going without it can give people headaches and cravings. But, it can be worse if a person gets tolerant, because then they feel the need to ingest more to get the same level of whatever it is they experianced.

I'm not saying caffine is bad, because it's not deadly or lethal in small doses, you'd have to drink a lot, or consume a LOT of coffee beans to get sick or die from them. but the taste, to me, is bad, too. And it doesn;t seem to work well for me. I'd rather wake up on my own ^-^

They're too soft.  I sink 5 feet into the mattress like its gonna eat me alive. Also I have reason to believe that room is haunted.
