So I tried the 10 day free wow trial just now.

Well, it's probably not posted as an announcement in the WoW portal thing because nobody buys into those tricks. Anyway, you'd still be a pretty lame person if you really give random people your password.

Also: I died 6 times in a row because I came to close to some kind of Monastery. I was like, what's up with this? Not cool to get sniped by unknown level Humans. :/

Lastly, I just reached level 15, and probably walked more miles in the game then I have in real life over the past few months. Why aren't portals and mounts available sooner...

 

Oh, and Arcane spells suck.

 

The monestary is known as Scarlet monestary and its a collection of dungeons for people level 30-40 (last time I played anyways). As for the walking assuming you are a mage you will get a couple of teleport spells at level 20 and Arcane gets better, trust me.

 

I hope so, because I already invested 2 talent points in it. Saw a couple of high level people use some, and ithey looked great. Not sure about the damage. It was pretty much an instant kill. Maybe the colors will match that lovely dress I'm wearing. lol

Also: it took me an hour to figure out that the correct route was to go to Silverpine. That route to the right send me straight into an area with giant spiders, which instantly killed me. Good bye 10 minute walk.

And it gets even better (grumble). Now I did the quest where I had to infiltrate a village guarded by werewolves, and kill the human council guys in it. That was easy, but now 6 wolves respawned at the entrance of the building. Now I logged out to let my teleport stone thingy recharge. ^^

Crap. It appears to be 3am. Good night/morning. I'm going to bed.

p.s. Yeah, it's a mage character. Was leaning more towards a character with minions, but thought that would make things to easy for me.

 

The place to the right you refered to is called the plaugelands and its a pretty much high 40s to 50s place in terms of difficulty. As for your talent placement Frost is probably the best in terms of level up with Fire coming in at second. Arcane was probably my favorite tree of the Mage class but you need to be pretty high level to make it work. Just so you know you picked one of the hardest classes to learn the "art" of.

 

But I like mages and stuff.
Meh, I'm probably going to buy the full game anyway. FINALLY got all of the parts for my new pc, and now I need something to do until Starcraft 2 comes out. Maybe a Blood Elf mage will be more easy. Saw some of those of my level running around, but with much, much more mana.

 

If your going to worry about race, worry about racial abilities, stats like mana and helth are pretty much entirely determined by gear.

 

at 15 go use the random dungeon thingie.


Also, my main characters are on runetotem, so if you get full game, you know where to find me (and get wicked enchantments, training my paladin up to 310 enchanting now).

 

correct. you get them when they're young. the older and more educated ones generally are capable of making wiser decisions and avoid addictive substances. doesn't mean they're invulerable, though. it can take as little as one hit.

Now I just need to find that dungeon thingy, since my level is already 17 or something.

I'm thinking of starting another character now. Can't stand those brownish environments and depressing stories my undead mage gets into. And cloth stuff looks horrible compared to the cool stuff other classes get. >_>

 

Frost is generally the leveling spec afaik.

Also, see if you can pick up a slow-fall glyph. Makes things fun

It's still brown, but it has girraffes (sp?)

 

You could go to the Blood Elf starting area.

It's grey.

For a while, but they end up the Barrens too.

 

He could always play alliance they have some green places.

What's wrong with the aliance? I encourage you to think long and hard about your answers *grins*.

 

I like Alliance, but for two silly reasons.

(A) the Human racial Diplomacy. It's cool.
(B) They're easier to level

(C) I like the spacegoats

 

Almost at level 20 now. Finally some portal stuff instead of walking all the time. Now it's grinding time, since it seems that I have to go into a castle in the middle of a lake with groups of level 18 mobs in it. All that to kill 1 guy and take his head. Aussault on Fenris Isle sucks ***.
