and the last time I'm using that crappy portal as a source -.- It actually says that the pots are from 1100BC, than that it's 500 years before Aztecs and other mezoamerican civilizations and than about "later times" of Aztecs AND Mayans.
In other words Aztecs and Mayans both lived around 600 BC according to this

According to wikipedia, mayan tombs dating back to 460 BC contained jars with cocao residue in them. t wasn't until the 1400 that the Aztecs began to use cocao power as food/money.
