StarCraft 2 Beta Patch 9

Last I checked 1.6 is less than 1.85, so either the numbers got switched, or they meant to say "attack period increased from 1.6 to 1.85."

...Not that I'm being nitpicky or anything, though. /sarcasm

 

i think the queen nerf was a pretty good idea. it's pretty easy to have 1 queen serving 2 hatcheries. queens are supposed to stay on the creep, near the hatcheries, not march between them.

it's still possible now, but you just have to lay down a couple creep tumors or use your overlords to barf some creep between your main and expansion.

 

Am I the only one who can not for the life of me find the map editor?

I think that's supposed to be attack rate decreased but they mixed it up because of posting data on the period between two consecutive attacks.

When I first read Jon claiming that the concussive shells cost too much, I thought 100/100 was nothing and that he was overreacting because of being a Terran player. And now I see that others must've thought the same to which Blizzard lowered the costs. This, to me, shows just how much Jon is involved in this and how well he can see the influence a couple of minor stat changes make. That's sick

To make it easier to understand, Attack speed decreased from 1.6 to 1.85
It takes no 0.25 seconds longer. Remember the game at fastest runs at 1.4x speed I believe, so using seconds irl is not a bad estimate. This is a NERF to be short.

I can't even get past the planet thing you see after the loading bar finishes. Beta keeps shutting itself down after 1 second. I get to enjoy the music for a whopping 2 seconds, though!

Oh true, I didn't read it that way.

I found the editor, it's under the actual program file directory, not inside the game or in any shortcut.

 

OH MY EFFING GOD, THAT'S WHY I WAS HAVING SO MUCH TROUBLE.... Although I was very surprised how fast the opponent got his/her zergling, I managed to defend it off but I was seriously crippled trying to fix and rebuild destroyed buildings. Sigh...

Is anybody else still having trouble logging on to BattleNet?

 

Have not been able to whole day. Thought the patch should come 7:00 PM CET as i could read, but have been blocked off whole day.
And i who just got it yesterday and had prepared for hardcore gaming today

 

I can't get past image of a planet after the loading screen. Shows it for 1 second, then crashes.

 

Stuck in the continuous loop, which is unfortunate, because my I finally got my Beta key today and I've been dying to play. BAH!!

 

Is this loop affecting everyone? Some people are using a zerg exploit with patch 9 aren't they? So it doesn't seem to be affecting everyone.

So all those who are in the loop, do you know what your computers have in common?

 

I'm downloading patch 9 as I type this, it seems to be going slower this time and may actually be working, I'll EDIT once it finishes


EDIT: I've successfully downloaded the patch but now it seems I can't connect to battle.net. Says my internet may be out but it's definitely not obviously since I'm posting this. Issues with Battle.net all we can do is wait it out I guess
