StarCraft 2 Is Now A Trilogy

According to interviews the zerg + protoss will also contain new units + maps - like all expansion do.

 

This is going to be a great idea as long as the next 2 games will be cheaper like $20-30. You will have that long first terran campaign with bnet. The next game would have new features with the zerg campaign and a better bnet. Then the last one with be the best one of them all with the protoss campaign and new features.

Maybe after they could get a new expansion with a new race???

 

nah, no new race. That would just **** up the entire game at multiplayer.
But this is really a great ide, because it means more singel player game and everytime I try multi I get killed by 12 years old kids.

 

If it is done right, a new race could revitalize multiplayer if we've been playing the same races for 3 - 4 years. Either way, I'd be willing to bet StarCraft 2 will have more relative longevity.

 

hm, that could be true. I wonder what race that would be HMMMM.

 

It's not so simple as either Xel'Naga or Hybrids (Vanix). There are other races that have been talked about by the developers as possibilities. Namely the energy creatures in 'Shadow Of The Xel'naga' or the other bipedal, highl-intelligent race whose name escapes me at the moment.. Starts with an 'S' though I believe.

Why in the hell do I keep forgetting that name? I think I might as well bookmark the Wikipedia article on those so that I don't forget. Also, I must say, if these are chosen to be an additional race then they desperately need a rename Although, if you ask me, they'll never be anything more than a side-race that Terran fight with on the side.

 

I was also wondering if beside having the three games. If they are all stand alone types would you have to install all three on you computer to be able to play with all the units?

Won't that make the game take up like,... i dunno 10 gigs?

they comfirmed that they are all linked each a differet race but multiplayer is the like sc 1 and broodwar it just adds more units the first is teran its called wingsof liberty the second zerg called heart of the swarm. i heard they might release them over a three year time i sure hope not that wold suck.itsbacclally like brood war and sc 1 just each game is a new race.

Knowledge of StarCraft typically includes knowledge of the games themselves. A baseball player damn sure isn't going to say, "Who the hell is Babe Ruth?"

 

What kind of analogy is comparing a hobby to a job? When I want entertainment, I sure as hell am gonna do the entertaining parts before ever looking up more information.
