your right, hmm i guess that the undead faction is the very primitive version of the Necrons.

so Warcraft slowly became Starcraft(the years where Necrons were asleep and the Orcs went off on a crazy adventure, Elfs warped to another planet(aiur) and became the Protoss) and then Starcraft became Warhammer. oh dear me the lore is going to be ultra complicated.

That's the problem here. Orcs are very different in WC and WH.

They could evolve a bit in 40,000 years?

You guys ever read the book? It was ritten in like the 50's-60's. Its actually what the majority of your favorite Sci-fi video games and novels are probably based one. They even had a race just like the protoss. Also the Federation did have heavy mechinized united with similar weapons but they did not posses the ability to obliterate swarms like you describe. Just as well the wraiths wouldn't help that much as the federation used massive carpet bombing often(Like you saw in the movie.) and it still did not affect the battle all that much. Tanks would be so slow and the only benefit I see the terrans having over the federation would be the power armor each marine uses and the flame thrower. But even that I highly doubt would be very effective. As for Federation VS the Zerg. Well the federation fought the arachnids which (Are very similiar if you are going off the original storyline.) for generations. They would probably handle the fight pretty well. The only problem I see here is the fact that the zerg have an actual armada(Or what ever you want to call it.) To combat any orbiting fleet of the federation. That being said it would be a very interesting fight.

Assuming you can evolve from apes to mushrooms, yes.

WC Orcs are probably fairly similar to humans as far as biology goes, while greenskins are genderless and reproduce through spores. Not clear on the details, but basically you kill some orcs, leave them there and after some time you've got yourself a settlement of Squigs, Goblins and Orcs.

Only way to kill off an Orc invasion in 40k is to first kill them all at once and then burn the bodies immediatly. Otherwise the sproes release from the dead Orcs bodies and just start a new.

Warcrafts story has went to garbage since WoW came out and some say it has since Warcraft 3. Blizzard is getting really ridiculous with their story telling and I don't mean the awesome kind of ridiculous.

I find the lore of Warhammer40k to be far more interesting and in-depth than Starcraft. I mostly play Blizzard games for the gameplay and HOW they tell the story through the game not really the story itself.

Don't get me started on what the story behind Warcraft is today, it's just absurd.

    You mean storytangleofyarn.

    I don't really think it's a 'line' anymore.

    No
Cause like you can kill someone who's basically at the very least a demigod, if not a full blown god.

    Just no.

    Yeah
actually, if you look at what your char previously did, you'd be surprised that it takes ten of you :p

Yeah, you need to weaken him first though

I meant Arthas, but now that I think of it, Yogg Saron should be unbeatable, he's an Old God.

yeah, um, thing is, you cant kill Arthas
    yet

perhaps theyll do it like Illidan, where you require the help of another hero(in that case the ugly face)

and important to note: he is a weakened old god, not one at full power

But he's a god. Not a demigod, not a half god, a full blown Old God who helped make Azeroth

also, technically you dont kill him, you just defeat his avatar

killing an old god would destroy azeroth

I also like how the dwarven friend arthas sacrificed for frostmourne was all of a sudden living when WotLk was announced. Blizzard was like "Oh wait a minute he is still alive! and this is how it "really" happened. Similar thing with Illidan, after Arthas and his undead forces crushed Illidans naga army at the frozen throne, he and Illidan had a 1 on 1 fight in which Arthas kicked his ass by slicing through his torso and living Illidan on the ground in a pool of blood. Then burning crusade came out like "Oh wait he actually lived! and he allies came and carried him off to mend his wounds!" Too bad Arthas and the undead killed all his allies in the area beforehand.

Then what I found to be really amusing was how Dalaran magically moved to Northrend and became a functioning captial city and Blizzards explanation for this was "it was secertly being rebuilt" which didn't make any sense considering the story at the time and then it "magically teleported" across the world to Northrend? I can't help but laugh at this. It's like they don't even care and added it in at the last minute to fit in with their next expansion pack.

    Fine.

    He's a god. You don't defeat gods unless you're a Titan and even then it's a stretch.

actually, you have a titan or two on your side weakening him

@chef, i agree with you on the bronzebeard thing, but the other two were planned beforehand
