    That will be a very good question for the next Q&A, ''Can the Queen build defenses only on to creep or can she build them on normal terrian?''
    If they allowed the Queen to build on normal ground, after the defense is completed it will slowly degenerate like a Terran building on fire.
    Seems balanced to me, this allowed means 1) the Queen is vulnrable 2) The structure still requires creep to stay put.

    well its really good to see that the queen is being quite a versatile unit now, making her defensive abilities put into offensive use, coz when they allow this it might open up a few tactics for zerg like the queen planting colonies on tactical terrains to forbid some units to take out her defense structures easily or maybe she can also come as your early explorer and plant those egg colonies lol.... i cant wait to see it in action

    @Itza. About the ranking thing. In SC1, Terran units had in addition to their names a rank that was displayed under. It could say something like sergeant or lieutenant. They're basically asking if units in the editor can get titles or secondary names.

    Oh, is that what they were on about? I guess the question's on some relevance, but it would be best saved for a Q&A which is more based on the Campaign Editor.

    What with the ability for overlords to create creep, this could create interesting strategies, involving sending overlords around to expansion, puking creep, making it impossible for the player to expand (or very difficult). Mobile creeps...can they move throw the Nydus worm? Can spore colonies still get up and move...so many questions...so much time before teh game is released.

    Hopefully Batch 40 will announce the BETA!!!

    I actually think this batch was one of the more insightful and interesting ones in a while.

    1) I love that they're giving an option for the Roach to become even more crazy- I mean, we've had discussions about how the current Roach was borderline OP... and here Blizzard is, strengthening the feature that makes it that way. The Protoss have a unit that can emerge from a Nuke with almost full health, and now the Zerg, of all races, has a unit that can take a Psi Storm and keep going as it if it were nothing. The exciting thing is that, assuming these things hold true, SC2 will hold true to its promise of being a game where every single unit is overpowered, so it is miraculously balanced anyway.

    2) Admittedly, this was a bit obvious- we'd been seeing unique Raynor models for a while now, and we know they're using unique models for the in-game cutscenes.

    3) It's good to know that there will be some gameplay-useless features that can still be useful in a custom game context.

    4) YES! I was worried that they might not include allied resource sharing. Now I just hope that they make this feature as versatile as possible... I want to see shared resource pools! Please give me shared resource pools.

    5) Okay, this one was annoying. We knew this. We didn't know the names of the new tileset, yeah...but... come on. We've seen screenshots with tilesets that didn't exist in the original!

    6) I love hearing about the things that inspire gameplay changes, new units and mechanics. A lot of people just think they take the lore and build a game around it- in all kinds of games, not just StarCraft. What they don't realize, is that, in the best games, lore is built around decisions that were made with gameplay in mind before everything else. Adding new things to a game isn't about coming up with whole ideas and tossing them together, it's about ideas that work, skinned with a plausible bluff (art and story) that makes them look as if they followed logically from what existed before it.

    7) As was mentioned... we knew this from the last batch. -_-

    8) I am really glad that Zerg buildings take damage when they're off the creep, now. Apart from adding more value to the creep and creep-producing structures/units, it resolves the weird lore/gameplay conflict associated with the fact that Zerg structures could only be built on the creep, but could do just fine it if died off, when they supposedly needed it to survive. It would also give the Queen more roles in base defense than she already has- using her structure-regeneration ability to keep non-creeped structures, defenses, even, alive, as they are waiting for a Hatchery to come up, or for an Overseer to provide some assistance. Imagine a line of Sunken Colonies, advancing on a base, with the Queen boosting their HP, and some Overseers in tow- spewing creep when they are safely within range.

    I love number 8. Seriously love it!

    And stop saying everytime a new batch comes out that it sucks. I dont think anyone cares.

    Don't you know, every time a new batch comes out, it's horrible because it doesn't reveal when the game is released/Gold status.

    Awesome! Roaches are like indestructable units. I love the building degeneration if zerg isn't on creep and if enemy building is on creep idea.

    GOD no, why do i have the feeling this roach is going to get too much hype and coverage like the freaking reaper... GOD SAVE ME NOW! put me in a coma until SC2 it released! PLZ!

    Gameplay and functionality before lore? GASP!

    Funny how Zerg has turned into "killing me softly," both ways too. It's nice to hear that Blizzard is cooking up little Zerg niceties like Roach's tier 3 upgrade and creep mechanic details, but I wish Blizz would let us know what the deal is with Lurkers sitting at tier 3 soon. All those things are rather trivial compared to it.

    I guess the ability to switch off alliances mid-game guarantees offensive Spider Mining in team games. I still hope that Blizzard will provide a game mode with permanent alliances.

    They lock the teams in ladder matches so you can't use them like that.

    Now, now. Be nice :) It does get irritating seeing the same questions being asked repeatedly, especially for the Reaper. I'd much rather heard about the Medivac (hopefully scrapped :p) or news on the Carrier's escort ability.
