The Zergling looks like it'll be the cliff hopper for the zerg. They already have wings, after all. Hopefully they'll get the upgrade mid/late game so that it's more of a feature to enhance the usefulness of zerglings later in game than to be able to rush even better.

Blizzard has stated that they will not give the Zerg a cliff hopper. The wings are there because Sam wanted them to be there, and his decision is final on that.

The zerg already have the nydas worm which you can create anywhere with a line of sight so I don't think they need a cliff hopper.

I wish the zerg had a cliff jumper.

I hope the nydus worm will be a good compromise, does it still need creep to be placed or does it only need LOS now?

Sweet, now overlords hiding above cliffs can be used for much more than just scouting >: D
And they'll be a much bigger threat.

I so hope SC2 will work on my labtop, cant afford to upgrade it...

I think something is fair if the game allows it without modification of files.

Which means, IMO any unpatched "loop hole" or "glitches" are fair game.

The most used "loophole/glitch" is the zerg's muta attack-while-moving ability and stacking, as it wasn't intended to be possible but became a major mechanic for the professional zerg players and was decided to not be fixed.

When air units are on top of each other, so you can fit a lot more air units in a space than would otherwise be possible.

I guess thats only a problem if billzard isn't allowing 3D movement, for which in real life you should be able to "stack" things at different elevations... Obviously with some vertical space between the units.

Well, they are visibly at different elevations in starcraft but these have no effect on the gameplay.

The air units can't be stacked anymore D: but their spaced out less then in Sc if you seen the gameplay vids you can see marine clumps are really tight.

Stacking made them extremely potent when raiding and retreating. However, it made them extremely vulnerable to AoE attacks such as Archons or Corsairs. I guess them not stacking will give it a more realistic feal, so you can't watch three archons own a dozen muta's in one shot each.

To get back on topic I think that the terrain tactics are fair and especially useful for the Terran. Making a defensive position on higher ground out of view of the enemy is a valid strategic tactic.

How fast do nydus worms grow (or pop up) If it takes awhile then the only way for Zerg to battle with tanks on high terrain is to keep an Overlord and a Overseer, one to detect the other to move units to higher ground.

It takes about 3-6 seconds for the animation to finish then all units pop out. oh yeah and you gotta plant down the worms too.

Hey! does an elevated lurker will be able to attack lower ground?? is it gonna have a range increase?? ive just thought of it recently coz its a good plus for them knowing that you will not be visible on highlands + when they do reach out that space they will only end with demise being unable to detect the burrower..
