Today .... what a crappy day as a taxi driver. :(

    1.
Got trouble with a customer. I saw him at the airport, I loaded him, helped him in loading the taxi, and then he gave me the address inside the city center. It was 10:00 AM, the huge traffic jam time !
He gave me the destination and I immediately drove to there.
In the road he said "oh ! they changed the landscape !" HUH ? I wondered. Why has he said this.
He saw the taximeter. there were already €20,00. We were on a freeway, at 130 KM/H.
He told me "if the price is higher than what I expected I will not pay you and I will call the police ..." OK ! I said "all right !"
"Where is the road in front of the NATO ?" he asked. I took indeed another way to reach the city center.
I answered "the road in front the NATO, the bd Léopold 3 is jammed as hell ! They are rebuilding the road and there are a lot of traffic cars there" I told him. He repeated "if the amount reaches more than 20,00 € I will not pay you and I'll call the police"

After 20 minutes we arrived at the destination. There were 41,70 € in the taximeter. He said "I will not pay this. You are a robber! I will call the police". I answered "all right, do it. I will call the administration".
After one minute I got the dispatch who gave me the secretaress of the company. I told her the way I took and behind me the guy telling her "your driver is a robber and a swindler. He made a huge detour !" Which was wrong indeed.
I have a paper which shows the real price of the taximeter in case that I make a mistake on the route and that I can't consider the price from the taximeter but only the official price the company did. The price is €35,70.
As the taximeter shew €41,70 the customer didn't want to pay. He told me "I give you €20,00 only or I call the police. You accept or you'll get trouble" I answered "we are not in a market sir. YOU must pay the price or I call the police because you don't want to pay ! Don't play the victim. I have never seen any company which accepts to take somebody from the airport to the city center for €20,00. You are a liar sir. And which company does accept such a fixed price ?" asked I. "I will not answer to you" he said.
In fact he lied, and knew that I discovered that he tried to steal me.

The secretaress told him that the 35,70 € is the price to the city center in normal traffic conditions. She asked him "was there a traffic jam ?" He answered " No." I said "Liar !" In fact there was a huge traffic jam, it was the hour of the traffic jam.

Finally he paid me. He didn't say one word. He knew I was in my rights. He took his heavy luggage out the **** from my cab. He went away.

    2.
I was called by the secretaress after my service. I saw why she called me. I got a ticket, a fine. I got flashed at 64 KM/H than 50 KM/H. Got a €80,00 fine today ! :(

About yesterday I took 4 persons from London. I made a round with them to make them discover Brussels.
A moment I meet on my way a huge bus, an autocar, parked in front of the Royal Palace of Brussels.

    The company of the bus ? ****ER. Yes, F U C K E R

Surely the name of the owner. They laughed out loud !! XD

She is pretty. But she is not an expert. A girl "done" for this job you can see how she looks great.
The girl I met was Romanian. The kind of girl that are exploited by people who just want money in sending them to Europe to make bad works. Big human rights violations.

It was true. As a taxi driver we sometimes get some weird visits from people who want us as customers.
In summer there is a van which provides us with ice creams. But only in summer.
Now this is the season for ... other things ...

Else, what happened to me today ? I made another accident. My bad, the woman who drove the car hasn't seen me leaving a parking place. I drove back and she hasn't seen me. Too late for me to warn her. She entered in the rear bumper. No big damages in my car, but I will have to pay 10% of the repairs.

    :(

Yes, all the taxis are covered. That's an obligation anyway. A fleet of 150 taxis (Mercedes-Benz) cost about ..... €500,000 per year !
BUT the insurance company gave the taxi company a fixed price. So even if a taxi driver makes an accident in wrong or in right the price is the same. However if there is a huge exageration of accidents is wrong the insurance asks for a higher fixed price, that's logic.
Anyway as I am not an owner of the taxi I rent I don't pay the insurance. This time as it is the second accident I do this year (in less than 1 month) I will pay 10% percent of the cost of the repair. In my case today the rear bumper will have to be replaced. I will have to pay 10% of €300 = €30. A chance the company also gets a lower price for the pieces.

Yes I do. I called her. And I met her in person too ! I asked her from her origines. Well i got pity for her. Her way to come to Belgium is classic. Her parents met ... mafia. They took their daughter to make a "serious" job and .... she finishes as what you know. A good call girl is a girl that wanted to be one, not a girl who didn't ask something and finished where she finished. She sends money to her parents she told me.
I am sure her boss told her to say this to people who ask too much questions to her (like me).
I got a good moment with her anyway ... :D

Well about the last accident, it's a catastrophy ! The real price of replacing a rear bumper and repaint it into black is .... €1,500 !! So I have to pay 10 %. Thus 150 € !! I talked to the guy in the garage to repair the current damaged rear bumper and I promised to give him 40 €. It's better for me. He accepted without one second of hesitation.

Yes, I'm lucky once again. He can repair the bumper but it's more easy for him to replace it. BUT as I can pay him outside the others' sight I find it better. Of course the 40€ will got to his pocket, but it's better to lose 40€ for a worker than pay 150€ for the company.

I made other little accidents in the past. He intervened and repaired the damages the best possible than to replace all the broken pieces by new ones. And the costs would have been far more important.

Best thing to do : don't make an accident. Easy to say when you drive fast to earn more ....

Yesterday I couldn't reach this site again :(
So I will tell you what happened yesterday.

-Made another accident with my taxi ! Nothing important. A guy hit my rear bumper. There was no damage. I saw behind the bumper if there were damages. Nothing. Good bye.

-2 intruders entered my home !!! 2 women. 2 Gitans. 2 Tziganes. I was working at this hour. It was 10:00 AM in the Brussels hour schedule. 15 minutes after the "accident". My mother told me that 2 women entered the hous and were looking for a certain 'Fatima'. They told my mother : 'the main door was open. We were waiting for Fatima who told us to enter because she wanted to give us clothes'. The liars. they entered my sister's bedroom. My mother told them to leave the hous immediately. She demanded them to see what was hiddent in the bags. They got 2 huge bags to steal some stuff. Nothing inside.

-Went back home en enjoyed the updates of SC2.com

You know what Gforce ? NO ! :( I don't know what's happeneing to me.
Do you know what happened to me today ? I was driving the taxi home to the garage, and on my way there is a fixed traffic control radar. You know, the flash. This is the road I take EVERY DAY so I know where it stands. Limited at 50 km/h.
Well, I was driving, I was busy with some stuff with me while I was driving, like the mobile phone, some papers, etc ... and I have FORGOTTEN that the radar was present.
I was driving at 70 km/h, just next to it. I broke immediately. I was looking at the flash device. No flash ! BUT it could have flashed me before .... I don't know now if I got flashed or not.

Next friday probably I will tell you if I got a fine or not. 70 than 50, it is a big fine, over €100,00

    :(:(:(

Got a mail (a letter) from the company which detailed the price for the damages I did to their taxi.
10% of €170,00 = €17,00 I have to give them. As I paid €40,00 to the carriage-builder for the rear bumper (which was the piece I damaged) just to repair the damage and not to replace the whole piece, so the calculation is simple : €40,00 + €17,00 = €57,00

Remember what I said. The rear bumper had to be replaced totally so I would have had to pay 10% of €1,500 = €150,00 for the piece, the black paint and the work.

    My benefit : €150,00 - €57,00 = €93,00 I haven't lost !

I must not enjoy of this. I must be disappointed not to have avoided a so silly accident. I just lost money for nothing .... With this lost money I could have bought a video game.

As I said before tomorrow I will see if I am convoked at the administration (or the direction) if indeed I got flashed for excess of speed this last monday.
If it is not tomorrow it will surely be on next monday.

    Ouch !

Indeed it's a waste. I don't own a car (a chance, it's very expensive). But I pay for stupidities I do as if I got my own car.
