Well without a money system rescources would have to be rationed equally. Increased supply wouldn't make a difference to who got what as their is no way in defining who deserves what so it still is essentially communism ( not that thats a bad thing).

Yes mine does contain the same core concept as meritocracy however to stop a very ridge class sytem forming in the background and to stop the issue of how does one define merit. The government would be run by multiple councils based on the combined expertise of everyone trained as that profession (economists, scientists etc) not just on the merit of a few people. Their general concensus would become law.

Thus legislation would not have to rely on appealing to an ignorant mass and people who want to change a country in a certain area could train as that profession and thereby know what they actually are changing.

Eventually hopefully this would also help along globalisation and get rid of nationalistic trade barriers ("glares" at the US and EU agricultural industries) etc

In my opinion there is no prefect government, not with human nature. I don't think that council based on combined expertises would work either because there is always the chance one could get more influence or power over another. Even the US government was designed to keep every branch balanced but that did not work in the long run either.

You can not have different sets of ideals without opposition. This is why I propose a surpreme benevolent monarchy. With that kind of government the people may not have a voice, etc but there would always be an omnipotent force that is looking out for the best interests of everyone and it would be flawless meaning the ruler in charge would always 100% have our best interests in mind even if we can't see them. Then everyone would be happy and healthy. That would be MY perfect government. There would be no parties, or divisions, or sides or anything. Just one benevolent supreme being looking out for and running everything. It would be so benevolent nobody would even care if it in essence a dictatorship.

Check out the venus project online Jshep. It talks about having a central computer running everything (not laws, just the machines that help us live comfortably :)).

Ya, but who is gonna keep the machine in check? It's still man-made and has the possibility for flaws. Then you would have to have someone to maintain those machines.

Every parent has to participate in a lottery. The winners child gets taken away and put in a complex school to teach him how to use these machines. He will not be allowed to do anything other than this task for his entire life. Along with this are restrictions on how much property he can own, and how much money he can have at any given time. Thus preventing corruption.
