Something is off here. All these dead, and not one gunshot? You decide to sneak out of your room. Holding your pistol at the ready, you inspect the nearest soldier. You recoil in disgust, horror, and mild nausea when you see not his face, but the terrible, eternal grin of his skull. Whatever killed him ripped his entire face off.

Deciding your pistol is woefully inadequate against whatever demon this adversary is, you cast about for another weapon. Apparently luck is still with you, as you find a fully loaded MP40. Holstering your pistol, you creep down the hall brandishing your newfound firepower.

From the slowly drying pools of pool on the floor, it's apparent many, if not all of them, perished in a like fashion. Whatever killed them is nothing like you've ever encountered. You've seen horrible things on the field of battle, sights that you will never forget, but nothing you've seen compares to this, this charnel house of slaughter and blood. You can almost taste the malice in the air.

You suddenly hear a creaking sound behind you. You spin around, gun leveled at a slowly opening door. Breathing heavily, vision blurring, you nearly stand and run, but sheer terror grips you like an ice cold vice. The muzzle of a Gewher pokes its distinctive nose out the door, followed by the familiar face of your immediate superior, Obersturmführer Alexander Becker.

Sighing in relief, you relax and begin to stand up when something black and cold hurtles past you, knock you to the floor. The shape sets on Becker with an unearthly shriek, rivaled only by the Obersturmführer's screams of pain. Frozen in shock, a spray of blood to you face brings you to your senses.

Thinking fast, do you run or do you fight?

Kaara, what I do is make a flowchart of choices and where they end up at. It includes the bonuses, reactions, faction rep, stuff like that. I'd post it when I'm done, but it's done on pencil in a notebook. Maybe I'll redo it in Photoshop when this is over if someone reminds me.]

EDIT: If you chose to run why?
I mean that thing knocked you over and proceeded to dissembowel your superior, it will obviously catch up to you and kill you sooner or later, KILL IT NOW WHILE ITS DISTRACTED.

PS: i think this is some sorta german crazy lab experiment that tried to make super soldiers but went horribly wrong and escaped :err:

 

fight, it would be wise to kill it while its tearing anothers face off. And knowing Germany during that time, the super-soldier thing probably isn't to far off.

Interesting. Could you perhaps show me the chart up to where the story is currently? - I don't need to see all the choices, just want a general idea.

Err, i dont think your superior is alive anymore, the thing is just tearing his body now.
If the creature tore through any of the main arteries, Obersturmführer would lose consciousness and bleed to death.

Panicking, you you bring you gun to bear and unload into that thing. You hear the meaty thunk of the bullets slamming into its back, but it appears to have no more effect than if a child threw a paper clip at you. Suddenly, the only sound you hear is the steady click click click of your rifle hitting empty chambers.

With a sickening scrunch, your commander loses his head, quite literally. With him out of the way, the creature turns its full attention to you.

In your defense, you only screamed when it began to eat your legs.
