lol its about the old political debate: democrats vs the conservatives

In simple terms - only for you sniper64
The democrats are for increased taxes and more spending through government spending.
The conservatives are for reduced taxes and less spending through government spending.

An alternative description of the above is like this:
The democrats are for less economic freedom to the people and more economic power to the government
The conservatives are for more economic freedom to the people and less economic power to the government.

The democrats thinks the people need help because they are unable to help themselves because there is only so much one man can do. Through unity, 10 men is stronger, than 10 men going by themselves.
The conservatives thinks the people can easily help themselves by reducing taxes, because then they will have more money for themselves. More money for the one man means the one man can better help himself. Also some conservatives worries about that the politicians would keep the money for themselves instead of distributing them to the people as they say they will.

Taking it to the extreme:
Taking it to the extreme then democrats are like communism
Taking it to the extreme then conservatives are like 100% liberty which is anarchy

Obiously in the process of taking it to the extreme you downplay some things and upplay others. Whatever fits you best...
Therefore the result of taking it to the extreme doesnt match reality and then you can draw funny pictures, fun for the opposing party, but useless in any other way.

Then where does Hitler enters the picture? Through propaganda and the one party wants to put the other party in a bad position, so by utilizing the extreme, they can put party A equal to Hitler or Stalin, whatever fits you best. The truth is that its only propaganda, so dont take it serious.

Which I think is quite funny, because with more liberty politicans (which are upper clase) would gain more money (lower taxes). So actually I just think thats a bad excuse

Only one kind of democrazy works, and thats a near-direct one like the one in switzerland. I know the political process's are slow, but the people and not the politicans have the power. Even in Denmark the democrazy isnt working anything like fantastic.

Hey companies have the right to provide health care for their employees, i just dont want it to the scale where i dont have the right to choose my doctor and where it takes three months to get a cat scan.

 

This is an international forum. Ask ANYONE here with with nationalized health care for that kind of horror story.

Honestly, does anyone have one good reason why someone should have to pay for their right to be healthy? Anyone at all?

Happiest Countries in the world. Wanna know a secret? They all have universal healthcare. OH EM GEEEEE

 

dude have you looked at england in the past decade? I have a couple friends over there and they say its quite horrible. But who knows it might turn out alright, it might not, i just want to keep most of the money i earn instead of it going to socail programs.

 

Guess the ONE country in that list that does NOT have socialized healthcare.

The reason why people don't want Healthcare is for 2 reasons. Now I don't agree with them but here they are.

1. Because its socialist and if you haven't kept up with the events for the past 50 years the US tends to be against that sort of thing.

2. Because of taxes, and this is the argument I face palm to every night. A lot of people against public health care don't like it because they don't feel obligated to help other Americans health. They think everyone should work hard become successful and pay for it themselves. Now the majority of the people I have met with this opinion are high class. No not billionaires who sit in pent houses scourging over the american people and plotting conspiracies to enslave humanity. The high class people who make more then $500,000.00 a year and got that salary by doing what they would call hard work. They feel that if they could get that kind of salary in the US anyone can. Of course this is BS but hey who's to say they have the wrong opinion right?
