    gah, i had to start over.

    I lost a system and my entire fleet T.T Plus, I had no idea what I was doing, apparently fighters are crap.

    yes, the attack message I got was similar to this:

    2000+planets destroyed


    I lost 5000 fighters while only killing 5 cruisers. And his powerful ships killed all the planets i had in that system

    ah, this game is just getting better. I acutally attacked an enemy fleet.

    I lost 20 ships, but my opponent lost about 700.

    the fighters are cheap, and have the smallest upkeep cost.

    They aren't good by themselves, they are a support for the tougher ships.

    the 5 ships they did kill were battlecruiser class, on of the toughest terran class ships.

    here's my current fleet after being attacked several times and rebuilding several times:

    19,868 fighters
    112 cruisers
    42 battleships

    current upkeep: about $360K
    money i make : $500K

    lol, im now on defence protection because I kept being attacked.

    my new empire seems pretty good. Since I have only 1 system, my entire fleet is able to defend it, and all the planets a conquer are added to my total. I've current got 62K planets.

    also, someone with twice my power lvl attacked me, killed my whole fleet and 3K planets!!
