wait I just think about that, I think blood is both Red and blue :D depend on it's carrying O2 or CO2, and when we cut ourself ,the blood came in contact with air so that's why we always see it red

NO! LxMike, your wrong! Blood is not freaking blue. It's just because the dark redish color (deoxygenated) through our veins and skin make it looks blue. I mean... Blue blood? And again that bull about how it touches air it turns red. No f*cking way.

And I'm talking about human blood.

Well, can someone actually post up some credible evidence vailidating and backing up their point?

I believe it is both, it can look red or blue depending on the situation of the blood and heart or in the person. The oxygen in our blood is what gives it a reddish color and in our veins look blue because of our perspective of looking through the skin on it. At any given time you can have Oxygenated blood which are red and De-Oxygenated blood cells which are a dark bluish color.

If anyone can prove this wrong please to and then point out your source of your information.

"Blood in the arteries is bright red from the oxygen content, blood in the veins is dark red from the lack of oxygen. Blood in veins can look "blue" when viewed through the skin because of light refraction and other factors.
When a person donates blood, it comes from a vein, not an artery. It is also not exposed to air, or it would be contaminated and need to be disposed of. It also happens to be dark red, NOT blue.

The common misconception of "blue" blood is continued due to textbook illustrators use of blue and red to differentiate arteries and veins. "

    from http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_blood_blue_or_red

It's red. But may I remind everyone that the poll asks people to vote on what they think the color of blood is, before reading the rest of the thread. So people who vote blue don't necessarily have all the insight that we have after discussing this rather mundane fact for 4(!) pages
