What job would you like to have/already have?

Maya. That's what I'm working with. Paragon might tell you 3DsMax . I hear both are good/bad in their own ways. I personally haven't tried out 3Ds Max but happen to be in love with Maya. So give it a whirl, you can download a free personal learning edition off the Autodesk site.

As far as my dream job goes, I basically want to be the director/creator/animator for Dreamworks Animations or something. Pixar is a lil too kiddy for me, though it wouldn't be bad. I just basically wanna take the lead and create a huge epic trilogy equivalent to LOTR or the Matrix (with the sequels not sucking) and have it be digitally animated.

OOOOR, just the lead designer for the Blizzard team. Like, I might give up everything mentioned above just to be a main contributer towards the next big Blizzard title.

*EDIT* Paragon, you have mentioned before that you currently have a pretty lucrative job. May I ask what you do?

LOL! Okay, I dunno what to say at this fairly awkward moment. And sooo I'm just gonna saaaaay... that I guess he does maintenance for his school, and his school is facilitated by the government, and thus... he works for... the government? I'll buy it.

But what I'll also say is that I come to this forum to give suggestions, feedback and occasionally make a wallpaper or avatar that would inherently gain publicity towards Blizzard games. I work for Blizzard.

Nikzad, I have said this be4, you are a good man! we think exactly alike and we definitely are on the same side when paragon does his stupid ranting and bullshitting.

 

now now, DW, everyone likes to pull the wool over other peoples' eyes every once in a while, it's paragon's prerogative to do it just like everyone else's

and although I disagree with paragon's opinions and delivery of said opinions most of the time, they aren't necessarily stupid

At some point in some post I said I went to a state school.

 

My dream has always been to work for Blizzard, as a game programmer. I've been a really big fan and have kept upto date with all their games. However I knew that is a long way from reach.

However I am about to complete my computer science degree and I've landed myself a job as a programmer at a game company. I enjoy working there and love the environment and the people. Thus so far, I've reached a part of my goal. What I want to ultimately achieve in the games industry? Become the lead programmer or designer for a future successful mmo!

 

hahah red_dragoon, don't we all!! But it will affect u in the later half of your life when you realize all you've done is play games. But hey, who am I to say that when pro gamers out there are cashing in heaps of money and making more than me

What do u mean by you thought you'd never hear this at a sc2 forum? do u mean by someone actually working in a game company or someone wanting to be the lead for a mmo??? hehehe even though I'm a huge mmo gamer, i still love everything blizzard thats why I keep up with the info about sc2. Im really excited about it and I plan to get a new comp just for it.

Keep these posts coming, it's really interesting to know what people want to be.
