They have these huge chunks of lightning-magnetized iron ore at the Museum of Natural History in Washington DC. I am not sure if they count as rocks, because iron is considered to be a mineral (crystalline structure, and all) but maybe your heart is one of those? I bet it would suck going through airport security.

The closest thing I ever get to depression is the deep, powerless, but thankfully short-lived feeling I get after taking Calculus exams. Annoyingly, because of the blank, glazed look I typically wear while thinking (read: all the time) people are always asking if I am OK. For someone who spends as much time isolated and unspeaking as me, I am actually unusually cheerful, just, nobody can tell. Oh, and I've recently developed a really dark sense of humor. So when I do talk, I end up throwing people off even further.

An interesting note, you know, to keep this on topic: depression rates actually rise in the winter. It is believed to be the result of shorter days and less-than-optimum light levels. People that have seasonal depression (called Seasonal Affective Disorder, SAD. You have to wonder about the psychologists that come up this stuff), exposed to a simple lamp that glows with wavelengths similar to the sun, actually see notable improvement in mood. (They call this therapy, among other things, Bright Light Therapy. I think this is funny too, thinking about it now reminds me of, "Operation Nuke the Imagination Through the Imagination Gateway" from South Park. When other branches of science name things, they go crazy and start throwing around terms like, "quantum chromodynamics" to make sure that nobody but other specialists have any idea what they're talking about.)
