Uh. Mind Control isn't a void power.

I remember reading somewhere (maybe the BW manual?) that while outright mind control was thought impossible, the Judicator caste had used their psionic power to influence weaker Protoss for centuries.

    okay, that is quite interesting

i still think Cable, Xavier, Magneto(also has psychic powers, not just his helmet), jean grey, emma frost, blindfold, etc would provide a pretty good psychic defense

So you don't include Phoenix, but you include Cable who's as powerful as Nate Grey who's as powerful as Dark Phoenix? Double standard here...

Blindfold only has the abilities of telepathy and precognition. I suppose in conjunction with some other powerful mutants, that could be fairly useful, but on the flip side I'm sure the Protoss are used to fighting precognates.

i dont include them at cosmic powerlevels, so he is not at top power like when he fought grey, but his powerlevel is that of afterwards

Edit: oh, technopathy doesnt mean technologically powered telepathy, but telepathic communication with technology

    my bad, then you're right

From wiki (I haven't read the source comic for this, so...)

"Following that story, his powers were burnt out and he replaced both with technological substitutes. Later he states that both his telepathy and telekinesis have faded to nothing."

That seems to be the final entry as far as mutant powers go. With his cybernetic implants, he's stronger than a regular human, but still not enough to stand up to a Zealot.

I know I heard from someone who has read nearly every comic book out there that Professor X can't enter the mind of an alien without going nisane I would assume all human telepaths have a similar restriction or at the very least weakness in that area. Dark Archons aren't just alien but multiple alien personalites working together to take over the mind of their target. Also, Dark Archons hav Feedback which I imagine would be devestating to any mutant on the recieving end. Finally, because all mutants are named heros I think the Protoss should get a couple heros of their own (I am obviously thinking of Tassadar).

I think if the Protoss squad consisted of Templar, Archons and Tassadar (no one having any metal on them), they would be able to pretty easily deal with the various mutant groups. Tassadar, the High Templar, and Dark Archons will quickly break whatever mental barriers the Mutants may be able to muster and working together could probably takeover and use Xavier and the other telepaths to take over every mutant that doesn't have a physical psychic shield (like Magneto's helmet). After that it would be a trivial matter to use the offensive Protoss forces and other mutants to kill the ones with psychic shields.

    no wait, i got one

even if proffesor X+psychics cant access the mind of an alien, he can still access the minds of his fellow mutants, protecting them from the Dark Archons, and if i remember there was an energy absorbing x-man as well, so GG dark archons(if the x-man can get close that is)

A Dark Archon is a pure psionic entity, made up of 2(+?) powerfully psionic beings. I would hazard a guess that it's at the very least comparable to Prof. X. That combined with the Professor spreading himself thin (so to speak) protecting all the others makes him easy prey.

    true

it would really depend on the preparation time both parties have. Forge could probably make some helmets with the same effect as Magneto's

now for a more interesting discussion

Marvel heroes vs protoss ground army
the marvel heroes are at non-cosmic level, so that means marvel girl is still at marvel girl level, Norinn Radd doesnt have his silver surfboard and Thor doesnt have the Odinforce, and sentry is missing in general

But Norrinn Radd has no powers at all without his tiny bit of Power Cosmic. Or am I missing something?

Hmm, because the Galactus page on marvel.com says he was just a regular human before. Norrin sacrificed himself to become a herald, in order to save his world from being consumed.

By the way, do you ever get to see the forum of Galactus as a huge humanoid with that purple armor? Or is that just something cartoons made up to imitate him? You know, like in faily odd parents. :p And does he actually fly in a ship, or how big is it? The wiki and marvel.com are extremely vague about that. And the movie just shows him as a weird cloud?! What the ****? I was waiting the whole movie to see his awesomeness, then they make a freaking cloud of him...

in the comics he also wears his purple armor
and the marvel zombies do too after they absorbed him

And norin was normal before, but besides a powered board he also received a little power for himself
