i like democracy just the way it is. i just hate the president.

Are there even any pure democracies existing on the planet anymore. They become unwieldy after a few thousand people

 

The only real true democracy was Athens, nowadays there's more Parliament Democracies and Constitutional Monarchies around

 

Babylon was the last true Democracy. Even though they had "kings" it was a purely respectful title, even more than the Queen of England (God Bless the Queen)

In Democracy, there IS no ruler. It's a government run by the people.

 

well, it should be. the president nowadays will always find ways on how to extend his term.

 

It's cause that's a Republic.

Democracy: Everything run on a layman's level. Like, city council where everyone's on it. Not much gets done. Surprisingly similar to a Libertarian government in that respect.

Republic: The masses elect officials with similar views. Generally gets more done, but roughly 30% of people will be discontent.

 

Yeah, if we had a true democracy, we'd be voting every week.
Republics tend to be a bit better suited, because with a Republic comes check and balances like the Roman Republic and the US right now. Not to say its all good...Republics tend to favor the higher class.

 

Masses of people are dumb, yet masses of people deserve what they want.

A nihilist is basically someone who believes that there is no meaning in life, things like that. There's more to it, but that's the basic definition.
